If you are planning to buy a franchise and you are not sure how to go further, please check following steps. What should you do before buying a franchise?

There are mainly three steps.

1) Identify
• Identify yourself: Are you ready to take franchise opportunity? It’s like starting your own business. Are you ready for that? Are you ready to work with different sections like marketing, finance, management etc.? If you find answer is yes, proceed for next step.
• Identify Industry: Are you ready to take franchise opportunity to this/that industry? Do you know industry? Do you know how does industry work? If No, are you able to get proper training to start with it? Will you get required knowledge? If your answer is yes, proceed for next step.
• Identify Franchise: Are you ready to take opportunity with this company? Do you know company very well? Is it global brand or local brand? Is it profit making? If they provide necessary training? If you find answer is yes, proceed for next step.
2) Understand
• Understand Industry: Understand how industry works. ...
... Once you got idea about the, proceed for next step.
• Understand Franchise: Understand how Franchise you are looking for works. Do they provide sufficient training? Do they provide enough marking stuff? Do have enough support structure? If you find answer is yes, proceed for next step.
• Understand the Competition: Understand the competition you are going to face. Understand how you are going to face them. Are you ready to jump into competition? If you find answer is yes, proceed for next step.
• Understand about Investment: Understand what investment you need to do? Are you able to incur such investment? After investment, do you have enough money for daily or monthly expanse for a year. If you find answer is yes, proceed for next step.
• Understand Legal terms: Understand how legal terms defined. Understand paper work involved. If you want changes, request them for sufficient changes. Are you fine with all legal terms? If you find answer is yes, proceed for next step.
• Understand Profit: Understand profit of this Franchise. After all investment, all planning and monthly work expenses when you will start making profit? What will be profit ratio? Are you happy with such duration when profit starts percentage of profit? If you find answer is yes, proceed for next step.
3) Decision
• If you have identified all correctly and your all answers of 1) Identify are yes, And if you have understood correctly and your all answers of 2) Understand are yes, you are ready to take franchise.
• If any of the answer is No, recheck it again till you fine all answers are yes, you are ready to take franchise.
• If any of the answer is No and your recheck doesn’t find answer Yes, You should not opt for this franchise opportunity.
