Technology has given a lot to society, but it has also taken quite a few of the world’s standard in a lot of ways. For example, children rarely go out and play and instead, they would rather stay indoors and play computer games. The essence of a day under the summer’s heat or the entirety of what childhood used to be is lost.

Personally writing thank you notes has been lost in the light of a society which has been supporting innovations and advances in modern technology. They would always side with what is convenient and what is easier to do. In that department, social media chats and e-mails are the clear cut winners. However, it is not all the time that these are the best options.

Thank you notes which were personally written by the sender create an impression of effort and a better form of intimacy between the sender and the receiver. That is why the reaction that one gets from receiving thank you notes personally written by the sender is different compared to receiving it through various forms of modern communication.

... all, especially if you consider the days that should pass before it reaches. The days of waiting makes anyone think that it will never come and that is why the elation is different it eventually arrives.

Handwritten thank you notes also create an impression of thought, and the words used and how they are written and phrased gives light to that. The better it is written, the better it might have been thought of because there are those who are just naturally gifted with the writing ability that can create any expression of awe and other touchy feely things.

More often than not, thank you notes usually receive responses and when it is done electronically, they can be responded by a simple welcome, and although that tendency still comes with handwritten ones, most of the times, they are responded by long messages as well. Effort usually gives way for effort as well and the logic behind that has been proven over and again through time. What drives such response is unexplained, but to some it does not matter. It is a response that they are happy to do considering the reaction that it has created.

Some also consider one’s handwriting as a reflection of a person – personality and the way he is thinks. That is why, handwritten thank you notes are more personal than anyone can imagine and that is why it receives better and more memorable responses than those which are electronically produced because the latter is just a series of encoded letters produced not by man itself, but by series of machines which were supposed to just assist man and not to be over-relied on.

It is true that thank you notes can be written in any way that man wants to. This is just saying that in spite the convenience of modern technology, handwritten thank you notes are still the better option.
