To some people, engagements are as important as weddings. That is why there are others who are keen in inviting guests to a party which announces their engagement. This already includes the upcoming weddings, and possibly when it will be.

There are a lot of things that might go on during an engagement party that those who are invited might want to really attend, but the problem here is how to make it known to others.

There are many ways – telling them directly or use of what technology can offer – but nothing says more traditional and most of the times, more special that sending engagement invitations to guests you want over to the party.

Let us be honest here, most would distribute electronically produced engagement invitations nowadays especially with the rise of social media. You can easily send them personal messages by chatting with them or sometimes, you can create an event’s page and invite the people you want over during the celebration of your engagement. First and foremost, to not take credit away from one of the more popular and modern methods of sending invitations, it is highly possible that they will be able to remember it. However, the problem is their activity in social media. These kinds of notifications can be easily neglected by anyone who is very busy socializing with their friends – making comments and posting various things that they find interesting. They may leave the invitation out for later.

Compare that to engagement invitations sent to them by snail mail. The appearance is catchy and it has a more personal touch to it. One invitations for every family or person who the couple wants to be at their engagement celebration gives a more interesting reaction – joy and excitement – to anyone who received one. In addition, the couple is able to avoid hurting anyone who was not invited because engagement celebration is supposed to be for those who are closer to the couple. These are people who will eventually play an integral role in the lives of the married couple. Co-workers and other friends which are not considered to be part of the family are left out for the moment. They will however, be part of the wedding ceremonies because that one is a bigger event that an engagement party.

The possibility of the engagement invitations being neglected by the invited guest is there. That cannot be denied, but, the reaction and the feeling of being sent a personal invitation can be overwhelming that remembering it is almost full proof. Emotions can platy a huge role in what a person remember and what they do not. Handwritten engagement invitations plays into that role.

Engagement may just be a step towards a bigger picture, but to others it is as important as the wedding itself. Parties are made, smiles are seen, but it would not be as successful without the help of engagement invitations.
