It is another year and it is almost certain that the days will be filled with so many activities and invitations from different individuals, particularly friends. That is another at least a hundred days that is going to be filled up. In filling up lies the problem because there are times when friends invite you on the same specific dates, and you cannot commit to both. In addition, you cannot refuse the two invitations – you have to choose a maximum and a minimum of one or else risk having the both hold a grudge on you, although, that is a bit exaggerated.

Never the less, the need to fill that among so many choices can be very confusing. However, these hosts could try to be a step ahead of the rest by sending save the date cards to their guests.

Save the date cards can act like invitations, but in a more subtle way. This is more of making someone aware of what is going to happen on a particular day and they are indirectly inviting you to the event. Of course, whether or not to accept the invitation is all up to whom the invitation was sent.

Again, this is just an act of making someone ...
... aware of an upcoming event and they would like to invite you over.

The act of sending save the date cards was never tradition. In generations that passed, anyone would only know about an event, no matter how grand it is, at least a month before it actually happens and never six months before. Such issues may have not mattered because, although people were busy, they had enough time to leisurely attend such events. This is one aspect of mankind that was eventually lost, mostly because of the economic demands that this generation implies. You waste a single minute and you might end up losing a lot in the near future. Of course, the option of doing things ahead of time is also there.

But still, in spite not being made aware ahead of time, the turnout in these events has been very good.

Again, the need to send save the date cards have become very important especially if you consider the handful of time that is available for the individuals of this generation. In fact, to do such leisurely activities, some might need to sacrifice some of their time preceding the event or else, they might need to go home early on the day. It is not about being kill joy, but it is about allotting time for everything else.

Coming up with the idea of save the date cards was not such a bad idea. It helps people to make arrangements ahead of time in order to attend or fill in a day for a friend. Although, there is a chance that this could be detrimental later on, but making sure that everything is accounted for ahead of time makes it possible for detriments to be averted.

Filling up the dates of this New Year can be very puzzling, especially with the economic demand still at its high. However, save the date cards makes it more convenient to appease both parties of economic and social matters.
