It is the biggest day of both the bride and the groom’s lives. The wedding day’s dance is the first step of intimacy a couple is exposed to after a beautiful ceremony of marriage. Amidst the huge crowd, happy relatives and decorative ornaments, it is most expected of the couple to outshine on the dance floor. One may not opt to make a parody of the Michael Jackson’s thriller video, yet goofing up is not an options too. A guide into taking wedding dance lessons is just what every about to be marital couple need.

Getting started

There many things to consider before taking up wedding dance lessons. Depending on the couple and their familiarity, consider all scenarios and themes before closing in on one. First step is to choose the right song. The questions to ask here is if the song represents both of you and if it will serve as a good dance number. If the song is long or you wish to keep your dance short, trim the song.

Learning the groove

When the song is chosen, you can narrow down on the dance form. From salsa, ballet, hip hop to Latin, ...
... choose the dance genre you are most comfortable with and if the song would go with the same. Choose your lesson type. From tailor made lessons for dance couple to romantic dance lessons, you could either do a short course just for the wedding day or a long course that would be fun to do even after the marriage. Wedding dance lessons can be found taught in your neighborhood or any other dance academy. If you are already dance savvy and wish to do it on your own, you can teach yourself by checking out self help videos online.

The D-Day Dance

Practice makes pretty! Make sure the dance floor is right for the song and practice plenty of time before hand. If possible, practice in dresses that resemble your bridal wear so you would be aware of any mishaps that could happen later. The dance should also not be provocative and has to be video friendly. So go ahead and shine out the dance floor!
