India’s premier cultural institution, the first multi-venue, multi-purpose cultural centre to be built in South Asia – the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) or NCPA Mumbai was inaugurated in 1969. Since its inception it has been committed to promoting and preserving the country’s rich and vibrant traditions, be it music, dance or theatre. NCPA Mumbai also believes in encouraging and promoting new and inventive work in the field of the performing arts.

Located in the heart of Mumbai’s downtown business district, NCPA Mumbai has five modern theatres, a photography gallery and extensive archival and library facilities.
