I'm a book lover who seems to be forever stuck to to his Amazon Kindle. I love literature and am always on the search for gems that most people don't get to see. This month the novel that I found and adore is Templar, Call to Arms by Chris Hales. I don't think I've appreciated a book as much for ages.The story uses the concept that the past has been changed and that difference has altered everything we know about the world. In this novel the powers of Europe won the crusades and the Knights Templars were never eliminated. They lived to this day and have become one of the most powerful groups of men in the world. It's a fantastic and intriguing idea that works so well.The book places the events that surrounded the Templars now, in today's world. That world is emaciated by a fierce economic war, a new crusade to introduce China to Christianity, and corruption and betrayal of all manners. It is the President of America that takes pride of place as the villain of the story. That man wants to eliminate the Templars so that he can steal their massive wealth. But the Templars will not die easily.A brilliant tale of corruption lies ...
... and murder leads us on a frantic journey filled with spies, heists and battles. It's a fantastic book that is never slow to the point, and always keeps the reader thrilled, guessing and wanting more.
