What is Canvas Printing ?
Canvas printing is originally an artwork done on a Canvas, also known as stretched canvas. It is an image or portrait prepared by printing it on Canvas and fitting it into a suitable frame. Such prints are widely used for interior designing or used to display own customized photos.
How is canvas printing done?
The offset printing method is the known as the classical printing method for canvas artwork, but since 90’s the canvas art had been associated with dye submission or inkjet print. Most of the canvas art work is done over cotton or a plastic based poly canvas for reproducing images.
Epson Ultra Chrome 11880 and HP Design jet z6100 are the example of large format printing used widely for canvas printing and are capable to print canvas rolls of about 60”. Utilizing its extended feature like slow printing can help improve print quality.
Uses of Canvas printing:
Normally it is used for home décor either selected by the home owner or by interior designer. Canvas printing is also considered replacing framed art work.Canvas Prints are mass-produced in some of the regions and are available at retail collection stores.
