So you received a brand new guitar for your birthday or another festivity. Your friends that this would be the perfect gift for you. After all you are creative, act like a member of mötley crue and love expensive italian sportscars. So the only thing you lack is a guitar.

But there is one small problem; You don’t know how to play the instrument. Therefore you need to search for a guitarteacher. A good teacher can be found rather easily, search for ads in your local newspaper or search for classifieds on the internet. Another option is that you ask friends that do know how to play the guitar where they learned it.
Make sure that you be very determined in your decision. Because you will have a lot of set backs when you start playing. It always looks so easy but to truely master the guitar will take a lot of effort and determination. Just picture something you want to achieve to make it easier for yourself. When you have a goal in mind – lets say play that awesomo solo of Led Zeppelin – you will be much more determined. Set backs and hurdles will be easier to overcome.
In the above paragraph we have ...
... assumed that you actually have time to go to a teacher although it’s very common now that people are ridiculously busy. Fortunately for you there are also other ways to learn to play this instrument. Teaching yourself by the internet is very common these days. After all, people use the web for virtually everything so why not for learning the guitar.

Where you need to start when you go for online lessons is a whole other thing. It takes some good old research before you find something that suits you. Because there are a lot methods and courses out there you will find programs that you really like and others that you do not really like. There are a couple of great sites out there that basically determine how the market looks. Among these players are Guitartricks, Jamorama and Jamplay. I personally prefer the first one. A lot of different teachers and a lot of content you can learn from although it can be rather overwhelming in the beginning. Anyway, have a look around wich guitar lessons for beginnersyou like best and I am sure that sooner or later a course passes your path that makes you actually feel like a member of the mötley crue!
