What Makes One Cv Click While The Others Don’t?

We all know how important it is to have a resume that is updated and with all the information and details so that the recruiter understands what is your caliber and skill. But have you wondered what makes one CV click while the others don’t? What sets apart one bio-data from the other? Does it mean that just because you got shortlisted and the remaining did not, you have better skills? Well the answer to all these questions is both yes and so. It may be that you have better skills than the others, but, then at the same time it may also be the case that the other person failed to highlight his skills in the right way. Have you ever thought of this?
Just because we all have a CV with us that do not mean that we know how to make the proper resume. Having the required skills for the job opening in hand does not mean that you have been able to present them in the right way in the bio-data. Now, the question arises, what is the right way. Well in order to have the perfect resume, you need to present your skills and qualities, just mentioning where you worked, what was your designation is not enough. You need to mention the ...
... projects handed by you, your role and responsibilities in it, your designation as well as the tenure of the project. And finally you need to highlight what was the outcome and how your skills were utilized and what new skills you have learned. In short you need to portray what you have been up to in a precise, compact and crisp way so that the recruiter understands about your skill and experience at one go.
There are many amongst us who forget to practice this and hence this lack of professionalism in creating the resume. In fact the resume also needs to have a proper layout and formatting so that the text appears visually appealing. Opt for a single text font as per as the details are concerned. For the heading opt for a bigger text font. But in both the cases, the font style should be the same. Use bullet points wherever required and give the right contact details along with the phone number that you use and will be available 24x7. Don’t forget to mention your entire educational qualification along with the percentage of marks secured and the year of passing. And at the end highlight whether you are comfortable with relocation or not. All these details will give the recruiter a complete and detailed idea about you and your professional skills and expertise. Keep these factors in mind when you are preparing your resume.
