Mosquitoes are problem throughout the year. They don’t need too much to be produced but the can harm our lives up to a point of death. It has been found that there has been a significant rise in mosquito population as well number of people dying because of mosquito generated diseases.
There are number of solutions available for mosquitoes killing. Mosquito control is a shared responsibility of individuals as well as government agencies. We as good citizen can contribute in several ways in controlling mosquito population.
1. Don’t let store water in any time of container more that two days. There are number of containers available in our house where we
Store water like flower pots, pet water dishes, air coolers etc. We should keep all these containers clear & a regular basis water refilling should be done.
2. Destroy garbage from your house. We have a normal tendency of not destroying useless articles in hope of some future use. But these articles like tires, cans, plastic mugs, buckets etc. can store rain water & provide good environment for mosquito generation.
3. Keep changing ...
... water of your swimming pool on regular basis. As water in stationary conditions is always a good environment for mosquitoes to enjoy & take birth.
4. Use an insect repellent. Very useful & safe for individual homes. Make sure to follow the directions for applying the repellent. Keep away from children’s reach. Insecticides labeled for flying insect management should be sprayed into the air. Optimum results are obtained if doors and windows are kept closed during spraying and for 5-10 minutes after spraying. Always follow directions on the label.
5. If possible, wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants while outdoors, consider staying indoors early in the morning and evening when mosquitoes are most active.

There are many other responsibilities which can be shared by government agencies.
1. Spread awareness. Spreading awareness among citizens is the best available solution for mosquito control. A knowledgeable person will always be in a state of knowing good or bad for himself. He will keep track himself for avoiding water bodies.
6. Fogging and Aerial Applications. A very useful weapon in killing mosquitoes is fogging machine. They are available in many models like truck mountable, pick mountable etc. Fogging machines are used where active substances should be uniformly distributed, even in inaccessible places, without leaving undesirable residues. Fogging machine is a solution for large areas and spaces with a minimum quantity of pesticide solution.
