Helicopter maintenance platforms (also known as maintenance stands) are designed to allow a helicopter mechanic to access to an aircraft’s maintenance areas. In some, but not all, instances, the helicopter maintenance platform can be used on more than one type of helicopter. The ability to use on multiple aircraft will have to do with the model platform and the model aircraft; but, the most important thing to consider is whether or not the stand is rated (by OSHA, for example) to work with the type of aircraft with which one plans using it.
