Organic is all over the place. From food to drinks, it seems pretty much every product at the supermarket has an organic equal. Swapping in these natural items in place of standard ones can be an expensive upgrade. So what meals should you buy natural? Here are five common things you should always buy organic:

Meat
There are many reasons why you should buy organic meat. Conventional meat contains pesticides, anti-biotics and hormones-all things prohibited from organic beef production. Pesticides are found in meat simply because animals eat nourish grown with manure and herbicides. Anti-biotics and hormones tend to be injected into livestock to make them bigger and immune to certain illnesses, which can have adverse effects like cancer when consumed by humans.

It’s advised to buy natural beef, chicken, pork and turkey products for a healthier and safer way to eat meat. Certified organic meat cannot include hormones, antibiotics, preservatives or additives. Spinach
Whenever grown conventionally, this particular superfood is known to have as many as 48 pesticide residues like cancer causing carcinogens, neurotoxins and other harmful chemicals. Since its fragile leaves are vulnerable to dangerous insect infestation, green spinach crops are some of the most treated.

Potatoes
Like a root vegetable, potatoes absorb almost everything that’s within the soil in which it grows. Conventional potatoes tend to be sprayed with pesticide sprays and herbicides, that seep down into the actual soil. Tests found that traditional potatoes include more chemical residue than most other vegetables.

Grains
According to the USDA Pesticide Program, remnants of 15 various pesticide residues can be found on traditionally gathered grains. To make matters worse, some grains are known to have carcinogens and neurotoxins. The most crucial grain to buy natural is rice.
