Many faithful Epson customers have been disappointed in the past with the Epson 2200 stylus printers. Many consumers had been citing problems with volume printing which led to having to use picture labs to finish tasks. Fortunately Epson seems to be redeeming themselves with the Epson Stylus Professional 3880 Inkjet Printer. Early customer reviews indicate that this printer is ahead of it's class, and shows a marked improvement more than previous models.

Features and Highlights

The compact size of the Epson Stylus Pro 3880, 27"x15"x10", is capable of providing surprisingly large prints of up to 17" x 22". Paper quality is greatly superior to the Epson 2200 by using the Ultra Stainless K3 which contains Vivid Green Ink. This development results in intense shades of blue as well as purple. The printer is equipped with an advanced black and white setting which produces professional grade black and white prints from grayscale or color pictures. The Advanced Mini Piezo AMC cartridge features a one-inch print head distributing Nine different inks. This particular cartridge also uses an ink repellant within the coating ...
... which increases accuracy.

The Stylus Pro 3880 has the ability to accurately print on all of the print papers such as glossy, matte, semi-matte, art board and fiber paper up to a thickness of 1.5 mm. The auto-switch feature makes it simple to accurately printing on just about any press. The technological improvements Epson has implemented in this model vastly increase print quality by implementing Accuphoto HD2 screening algorithms. Visual transitions for example shadow and emphasize have a smother quality.
