The city of Denia is located in Alicante province of Spain. It lies within the Costa Blanca in between Valencia and Alicante. The nearest resort area to Denia is Javea. There are a lot of things that make Denia such a fascinating tourist destination. There are indeed many sites here that one finds totally breathtaking. There are also many activities that can be witnessed over a holiday in Denia most especially if you are a person who enjoys differ kinds of cultural displays. One of the most popular ones is the bonfire festival. The bonfire festival takes place in the month of March and is a rather spectacular event to behold while in the region. The bonfires are mainly made of paper Mache and are displayed at different parts of the town and then set on fire. The paper Mache statues are referred to as Fallas.

In July, there is the Bous a la Mar festival which literally means bulls at sea. What happens over the week is a festival where bulls are dash down the street called marquees De campo and then they are chased into sea which in this case is the Mediterranean. To do this, a lot of courage is required so as to help a person enter the set ring with the bulls. It is a very daring practice but a fun one to watch none the less.
