Recreational areas & Beaches
City Recreation area -Located in downtown Kelowna, this particular beachfront public recreation area sits on the coastline of Okanagan Lake and includes a long sandy beach (Hot Glass beads Beach), kids waterpark, yard bowling, playground, picnic area, skateboard park, running track, sportsfield, restaurant, concession as well as washroom and changing facilities.
Knox Mountain-Situated in the middle of the city, Knox Mountain includes a variety of hiking trails as well as viewpoints of the town and Okanagan Lake. The actual park includes bathroom facilities, lookout towards the top of the mountain, an open-air picnic area, playground, tennis games courts and a multitude of mountain biking and hiking trails.
