A debit order is a service provided to account holders to allow third party to collect money from his personal account. A telephonic mandate or a letter to the bank is sufficient for this service. This happens in case of paying loan to the lender, giving installment of premium and many more things. In debit order system you do nothing. The amount is deducted from the account on the specified date which is mentioned in the letter. It is very easy and convenient for people who have no time to pay premiums, subscriptions and EMI’s on monthly basis or yearly to the third party personally.

Debit Order is a service which is offered by almost every bank in the world. In case you find something wrong with the amount deducted then you can ask your bank to reject the transaction. You have the right to cancel the permission for debiting amount automatically on monthly basis. For e.g. if you have an account in XYZ bank and for your daughter opened a minor account in the same bank then debit order facility is available for you. The permission is granted to the bank through ...
... Debit Order System to deduct a certain specified amount from your account and transfer it to the daughter’s account every month. You can stop this deal anytime you want but before the deduction in that month has taken place. Every request takes 24 hours processing time.

Phone banking, net banking and funds transfer are some more options which have made life of a person very easy. The transactions are flexible and very efficient through the above stated system. In some banks there is a particular form for such facility and in various banks you can write an authority letter to the bank to allow third party for deduction. The bank will call you and ask for your permission. If you will say no then this order will be rejected. You can check your debited amount every day through net banking or by taking out a mini statement from ATM.

However, till now many people are unaware of this facility and follow the traditional way of paying premiums and subscriptions to the third party. In fact, if you have opened a fixed deposit account in any other bank and you need to pay them on annual basis then it can also be done through debit order. This facility saves time and cost of travelling to the bank very effectively. Usually, people set a higher amount for repayment of loans, premiums, bills etc. every bank verify from the account holder every time the transaction is processed for security reasons.
