An internationally recognized instrumentalist had once said that the trickiest musical instrument is the human voice. Barring those who are genuinely tone deaf, just about anybody can learn to play some kind of musical instrument. However, learning to sing is another ball game. It is not some kind of impossible-to-master skill but certainly requires you to possess a good voice to begin with. If you do have a good voice and want to sound great even when you speak, then you should join vocal classes in London if you live or around London . Once your training lays the foundations of a strong voice, you learn to use the tricks of the trade.
A simple example would be that every kind of music often uses lower notes to create certain musical structures; but only jazz really requires you to growl. This means that you should not sound as though you are growling when singing a tune which uses the lower notes heavily. To do this you could practice with the lower notes repeatedly and let your voice sink into them naturally. This is especially important if you are ...
... singing opera or country. It takes a highly experienced vocal coach in London to notice if some postural defects are impacting your singing. You might be jutting out your jaw or hurting your neck muscles by stiffening the neck too much.
If you don't have faith in your own voice quality, it will reflect in your singing which will sound half-hearted. It takes a teacher like Ken Tamplin to nurture your talent and let it bloom. Such a teacher helps you find your own voice and vocal range to polish and perfect vocal techniques which will distinguish you from the crowd. S/he will help you to evolve from being mechanical or just skilled to being an artistic performer. Remember, if there are any personality conflicts with the teacher then your progress is undermined. It is best to learn from a coach with whom you can be on the same page.
