The Emmy Awards night on The Roof at the Wilshire Hotel was a star gazing evening of grazing with renowned Executive Chef Eric Greenspan. Executive Chef Eric Greenspan, the very talented former sous chef of Patina, and current owner of the Foundry on Melrose and the soon to open Grilled Cheese, has created countless appetizers and small plates of amazing comfort foods, like nori nachos, max & cheese and signature gazpacho soup with watermelon that pair beautifully with their unique drink menu.

... Mule, served in an iced copper mug with a lime on top, is their specialty signature drink, and the recipe contains home-made ginger beer, vodka, lemon juice and ginger syrup. They serve several versions of the mule using a variety of liquor combinations, and if you like ginger beer it’s a refreshing and delightful choice on a hot summer or fall evening.

The Hotel Wilshire is celebrating their one year anniversary since a complete renovation in 2011, and the face lift has remained nicely intact, but the design and maintenance of their pool-side restaurant area on the roof is beyond simple praise.
