The early times of criminal offenses and the law is a very well-known topic with historical novels but Wild Intentions takes it a step further. This e-book looks at the very early days of law at the beginning of the 1700's. More particularly it looks at the true tale of Jonathan Wild; the man who generated the idea of organised crime and organised law enforcement.Jonathan Wild moved to London as a young man, wishing to evade a dull and violent life in Wolverhampton. But can he defeat Charles Hitchin and best Tom Edwards?What ensues is a smart and interesting ride of uncertainty and double-dealing. Jonathan Wild is the best at what he does and Hitchin is always finding it difficult to catch up. There are numerous twists and turns that keep the reader speculating and it is one hell of an exciting romp. The games that the characters play are exciting and interesting. I haven't experienced a book as much as this for a very long time and it's historic basis is both very close to the truth and well written. The writer, Chris Hales, clearly put in much effort into writing this book and has made it attractive to a wide target audience. Chris suffers from Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis and this only makers his capacity with writing even more outstanding. As a contemporary story this book gets my highest recommendation. Whether it's smart crime capers, historical novels or rip roaring thrillers that interest you it's hard to ignore this book.
