While it might have come with some basic programs, the user will soon find a need for software that is more specific, more powerful and more efficient. Some software acts as a protection system, similar to an alarm system in a home. For example, if files become corrupted or lost, a program is necessary to recover hard drive data.

Adding an office productivity suite is very similar to adding a home office to the house. Additionally, all work and no play can be, well, boring.
