Whether you are in your local pub or on a new bar during your vacation, there are plenty of drinking games to keep you and your friends entertained. Alcohol has always been known to add a lot of fun and enjoyment in any sporting activity and the beer games are not exempted from this fact. One of the most common alcohol games is the gauntlet. This is a fun card game that can be played by 3 to 6 people seated on a table. The following are some tips on how to play the gauntlet game.First and foremost a person should be appointed as the dealer. This person can either be included in the game or not. In the first round, the dealer is supposed to ask the players to choose either red or black. The player who guesses the first question gets to pass 2 drinks while as those who do not get the correct answer get to drink the two cups of beer.Next the dealer places a card in front of every player. He then asks each player to guess whether it I a higher or lower card. This is worth 4 drinks and those who guess wrong get to drink the 4 drinks. This move is worth 6 drinks and those who fail to get the right answer get to drink these cups.The last round before the gauntlet stage on this on this drinking game involves each player picking a suit. This round is worth 8 drinks and those who fail get to drink up. The players then get to decide who goes into the gauntlet. The player to go to the gauntlet is decided through all the players placing all their cards in front of them.2 rows of 5 cards each are made and then the dealer takes the cards on the right side and leaves those in the left side. Then each player is supposed to start from the bottom side and goes up alternating between the give and take cards. The cards on the right side are given to the other placer and he has to drink up depending on the raw the card falls on. The person who is left with the most cards after this round is sent to the gauntlet.At the last round of the gauntlet drinking game, the player is supposed to place 12 cards at the bottom and facing down and an ace at the top facing up. The ace is worth 4 cards on the raw as well as 4 drinks. The K, Q and J cards range from 3 drinks and 3 cards to 1 drink and 1 card respectively. The other cards on the deck are not good and cannot help a player.A player in this (potentially, some are in development as of June 2012) online drinking game gets to leave the gauntlet once all the cards are gone. This is however not the case when all the cards are through and there is still more beer left. In this case, the gauntlet is repeated all over again until all the beer and the cards are gone.
