Reasons Why San Diego Is A Dog Friendly Place

According to the Humane Society, there are approximately 78.2 million owned dogs in the United States. Despite this fact, many dog lovers often feel rejected once they see a “NO DOGS ALLOWED” sign in restaurants and other public places. This is unfair for many pet owners who just want to take their four legged friends on a night out of town.
Fortunately for many dog lovers, there are many places in San Diego California that have a more pet friendly atmosphere. From beaches to restaurants, there are several places that you and your canine friend can enjoy. No longer will you feel shunned by that dastardly sign; instead, you will be greeted with wonderful service in beaches, events, and restaurants where you can bring along your little friend. You can check them out below and see why many consider this Southern California haven as the most dog friendly place in America:
Dog Beach in Coronado
Located at 100 Ocean Blvd Coronado, Dog Beach is the ideal place for both canine and beach lovers. It has a picturesque view and warm weather that you’d come to expect from a beach in Coronado. You can even unleash ...
... your dog and let him run around and get some much needed exercise.
Surfing Competition at Loews Coronado Beach
Loews Coronado Bay holds the original dog surfing competition with over 50 canines participating each year to raise money for a non-profit organization. The event is usually held every June and has been held every year since 2005. This fundraising competition has been so successful it has attained wide media coverage and has even been featured on the TODAY Show. You can participate in the event or you can just head over to nearby dog friendly restaurants San Diego residents enjoy.
Pet-friendly restaurants
There are numerous restaurants that provide services that dog friendly San Diego diners appreciate. You can feast on the most delicious cuisines that only San Diego can come up with. There is even one located in La Mesa that offers delicious seafood meals.
If you are on the lookout for places that pet friendly San Diego residents enjoy, then you don’t need to look very far because this place is chock full of them.
