Atlantic Broadband To Bring High Speed Internet Access To Peninsula

Atlantic Broadband formally launches its cable television operations in Maryland and Delaware today, according to Vice President and General Manager Steve Grossman. Grossman commented, "Today brings our subscribers not only a new name but also a renewed customer commitment".

Grossman unveiled Atlantic's plan to upgrade its cable television systems in Maryland and Delaware to provide high speed internet services. He said the project, which is already underway in Kent Island, will reach all of the company's subscribers in both states by the end of 2005. "Atlantic is delivering on its commitment to bring this much needed service to our customers. And we are doing it in record time", Grossman said. Internet service will be available in Kent Island, Stevenson, Chester and Queenstown by late summer. By early fall, subscribers in Grasonville, St. Michaels, Wye Mills, Oxford and parts of Talbot County will have access to cable modem service.

"This is first of a number of initiatives that will simplify packaging, enhance value and enable cable subscribers to create customized packages that meet both their needs and their pocketbooks," Grossman said. He noted that Atlantic is responding to customer feedback seeking simpler programming choices at reasonable prices, and improved service and reliability.
