“Tring Tring” - “Do You Know”

My dad’s phone rang but my phone sang at the same time when we were at the church. People around us; saw me in a different way, when I had the “Do you know” ringtone sounded in high volume. Really, the sound of my ringtone was that high that we were not able to hear my dad’s old Tring Tring. An old lady near me asked me to stop the music I was playing, as soon as she heard the song. Yes, it’s true indeed that there is no way that you can distinguish between a call and the piece of music as nowadays we tend to have our favorite songs as our ringtones.

When we headed home, my dad asked me “Are you heading in the right direction?” I thought he was asking about the way home and I said “Yes, of course Dad!” He said “I personally feel it would be better for your phone to ring than to sing.” I was totally shocked and stopped the car with a sudden brake. I asked me “Dad, Are you talking about my phone’s ringtone?”

... that there are a wide variety of human personalities in the world and each ringtone would convey a specific type of personality. Believe me, I found it to be true! The people in the church were never bothered about my dad’s ringtone, but they saw me like a criminal for having such a ringtone. I first argued with my dad stating – “Dad, those days of tring tring are gone, and it’s no more in today’s world. Nowadays it is the trend to have our favorite songs as ringtones.”

When we reached home, he asked me to sit beside him and started to surf through the internet offered by ATT Uverse Deals. My dad was like so much irritated that he started to yell at my mom saying “Don’t involve in dad-daughter issues. We have many things to talk. If you can’t teach our kid any values, please allow me to do it.” Oh my God, they started to quibble now! I don’t know how to stop it. I love having ringtones and I have a collection of ringtones. I change my ringtones every week, and does it mean that I have a different personality every week. I said my mom to leave the room and when I heard my mom telling my dad – “Please stop pestering my kid for her ringtone. I know you don’t like all this and you are out-dated. Please don’t ask my kid to be like you. Ringtone has got nothing to do with one’s personality and it’s all about mind relaxation that we get when we hear it.” Yeah, it’s true you know, whenever I get a call, I get to feel at ease for at least 2 minutes.
