On July 28, 2010 Amazon announced a new generation of Kindle 3. Kindle 3 is available in two versions Kindle Wi-Fi and Kindle 3G connectivity with Wi-Fi which is considered as replacement for the Kindle 2.

On 28 September 2011 Amazon announced the newest version. The latest version of the Kindle has five hard keys and a cursor pad but do not have a keyboard. At the same time Amazon is also releasing a touchscreen version of the Kindle . Kindle version of the touchscreen is available in two versions namely the Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi connectivity with 3G.

On the Amazon Kindle with Wi-Fi and 3G, you’ll get web browsing features. Amazon Kindle uses the WebKit browser for browsing, the browser is basically contained in the Kindle almost the same as any other browser except in color, black and white.

The reason why black and white are:

1. Its speed can be higher
2. More readable: With black and white display on the Kindle, you like reading a real physical book.

Amazon provides free facilities for browsing on the Kindle with Wi-Fi and 3G. Compare with iPad from Apple. If you choose to use the Apple iPad for browsing, you will be charged monthly. But if you choose a Kindle, you’ll get a free browser Kindle facility , you can connect to the Internet without a monthly charge a penny. You are only charged if you download a new ebook on your Kindle, but only slightly.

Terms that you can use the facilities for browsing the Kindle browser is the presence of AT & T signal, so where you have a signal AT & T then you will also get Wi-Fi. In addition if you’re near a Wi-Fi hotspots, although no signal AT & T, you can also use the facilities for browsing the Kindle browser for free.
