A report carried out by LG established that over half of all UK households’ waste is made up of 10% of the food they purchase.

With a fifth of the population wasting over 25% of their food shop, the Refrigeration Report consider poor food storage being a possible cause.

Around £5 billion worth of food is wasted each year – but what can we do to help prevent this waste and ideally, save money?

We look at what LG refrigerators offer the market and if their technology can reduce our waste and heighten our savings.

Keeping It Fresh

Whilst LG offer the latest in both technology and design, here we want to focus on what aspects of this technology can help us keep our food fresher for longer.

With all LG non-plumbed, water and ice refrigerators, they come with key features including the Moisture Balance crisper.

This technology ensures optimum moisture levels are maintained in foodstuffs, with even the trickiest of contents such as vegetables, staying fresher, for longer.

You may begin ...
... to think with these added features, working hard all day everyday to keep your food fresh, that more energy may be used. However, each fridge is rated ‘A’ for energy, making it not only the most efficient but also the most cost effective choice available.

High Design

Relying soley on an electrical socket, LG offers a wide range of beautifully designed side-by-side refrigerator/freezers – the world’s first non-plumbed water and ice fridge freezers.

Whilst you focus on prolonging the life of your food, you needed pay for your efforts with unishglty hoses emitting from behind the refrigerator, nor any major re-designs and plumbing works to accommodate your new item.

Water & Ice Dispenser

Although there is no plumbing present, you can still have a water and ice dispenser. By filling the removable water dispenser tank inside the refrigerator door, you’ll have icy cold water and chunky or crushed ice at the touch of a button.

The water is pumped around the freezer section and back to provide ice, all self contained, eliminating the need for plumbing.

Easier stull, you can also replace the water tank with your own two-litre bottle of shop-bought mineral water, giving your water and ice the added zing of natural minerals.
