The Samsung Galaxy R deals is the latest device that is set to build on the popularity of the Samsung Galaxy S2. Even though the phone was incredible in any aspect, the Samsung Galaxy S2 simply could not compete with the other phones when it comes to the price. One of the main reasons for it was that the Samsung Galaxy S2 was no compromise phone. The Samsung Galaxy R, however, seems to be the straight opposite of it, as it compromises on certain features in order to make it understandably better in every regard. As a result, the biggest advantage that the Samsung Galaxy R can have over the Samsung Galaxy S2 – the greatest smartphone in the world – is price.

The Samsung Galaxy R will be coming with features that are clearly reduced from the Samsung Galaxy S2, but not in such a way that they will be hampering the overall user experience of the phone. This is clearly visible from the 4.2 inch display, which may be reduction from the 4.3 inch unit of the Samsung Galaxy S2, but not in such a way that the user will not be able to take advantage ...

Samsung has also reduced the AMOLED technology to the LCD display unit in the Samsung Galaxy R in order to save on the costs even further. This seems to be a great decision on the part of the company because the AMOLED technology takes up a significant portion of the cost of the phone. Just by eliminating this technology, Samsung has been able to achieve an incredible cost efficiency on the Samsung Galaxy R.

Another area further cost-cutting is evident is in the memory department where the Samsung Galaxy R will be offering just 8 GB instead of the 16 and 32 GB versions in the Samsung Galaxy S2. The Samsung Galaxy R, though, for its defence, offers the external memory card support, which is more than useful when it comes to expanding the memory. The external memory card support will be offered to up to 32 GB, which is more than enough memory that is needed to get the Samsung Galaxy R in the full swing when it comes to entertainment requirements. The Samsung Galaxy R has a very powerful 1 GHz dual core processor, thus making it the first phone in the segment to probably offer this kind of a processor. The user experience will be enhanced by the presence of the GeForce GPU, which is a surprising aspect given that most of the phones in this segment rely on the Adreno GPU.

However, the Adreno GPU has failed to perform in recent years, while the shift to the GeForce GPU is expected to enhance the Samsung Galaxy R with rich rewards. The Samsung Galaxy R will be available in the UK within the next few weeks after Samsung recently launched this device. The contract prices are expected to be announced soon as well.
