The HTC Radar is a new phone announced by HTC, which will be running on the new Windows Phone 7.5 Mango operating system. This new operating system comes with many revamp of features, which are certainly exciting for the segment as a whole, which has been looking for a saviour to overtake the Android operating system in the high-end smartphone segment. One of the main reasons for the success of the Android operating system is the user interface, while it will be overtaken using the tile system of the Windows Phone 7 operating system.

Further, there is good news for the phone and that this new operating system will be coming with many improvements especially in the social networking department where the predecessor clearly lacked over the competition. The HTC Radar will also be equally enhanced in terms of features. The HTC Radar is pretty much the replacement model for the HTC Trophy, which offers a number of new features that will certainly not in tune with the demands of the customers. The HTC Radar, on the other hand, will be providing various ...
... options like a 3.8 inch display that is capacitive and it can support 480 by 800 pixels of resolution. This high amount of resolution ensures that the HTC Radar is perfect for watching movies, while the large display also makes this a perfect opportunity to take advantage of the powerful processor in the phone.

The processor is rated at 1 GHz and it may be a single core processor only, but it is one that can deliver incredible performance that is capable of handling multitasking of high-end applications without trouble. Of course, the processor is partly helped by the presence of 512 MB of RAM, which is the same amount of RAM as offered by the HTC Titan - a recently launched high-end phone from HTC. This clearly shows that the HTC Radar is being regarded has one of the elite by HTC. The other options of the phone include GPS, HTC locations, FM radio, Facebook integration, threaded view for SMS. The HTC Radar has a five megapixel rear camera and a front facing VGA camera. The rear camera has the ability to shoot 720 p HD videos along with incredible quality in terms of the images, while the front facing it is predominantly going to be used for video calling through the Skype application.

The HTC Radar has a wide variety of connectivity options, which extends from the 3G all the way to the DLNA. While the 3G and Wi-Fi options on the HTC Radar cater towards downloading and uploading content online, the DLNA, Bluetooth and micro-USB option will be assisting the phone in transferring content to other devices. The HTC Radar has a powerful 1520 mAh battery designed to get the best out of the features on the phone. It is not surprising to learn that this battery offers around seven hours of talk time even in the 3G mode. Besides that you may also wish to take a look at HTC Evo 3D for other available deals.
