The HTC Radar is the latest in a line up of Windows smart phones, but it is unlike any other Windows phones launched up until now because it will be running on the latest iteration of the Windows Phone 7 operating system. The new version of this operating system – called the Windows Phone 7 Mango operating system – has already become a major favourite amongst the Windows smartphone lovers because it will be providing cure to some of the most common problems faced by its predecessor. This new operating system will be present on the HTC Radar, which is filled with quite a lot of features.

It starts with the incredible 3.8 inch touch screen display. The maximum resolution provided by the display is 480 x 800 pixels, which enables the display to provide an incredible amount of detail within the screen. The amount of pixel density provided by the display certainly suggest that the HTC Radar is one of the ideal phones to do a number of tasks like watching movies, browsing and so on. Despite having such a large screen, the dimensions of the HTC Radar ...
... are extremely compact. The total weight of the phone is also kept under 140 g, while the dimensions of the phone are 120.5 x 61.5 x 10.9 mm. They enable the HTC Radar to be extremely handy, yet not compromising on the amount of features especially on the display front.

Normally, all Windows phones are very much similar in terms of the common features like memory and processor. The same applies for the HTC Radar, which comes with 8 GB of internal memory. Given the fact that this is common with all the Windows phones, it will not be providing memory card support, but you need not worry because the internal memory itself will be more than sufficient for extracting the maximum potential out of this phone. The usage of the five megapixel camera is certainly not surprising, but it is certainly suppressing to know some of the features that HTC has managed to include within this camera. They include LED Flash, autofocus, 720 p HD video recording at 30 frames per second, and Geotagging. The five megapixel camera, though, is not the only unit present in the HTC Radar, as the phone also has a 1.3 megapixel camera located just about the display as well.

Like many other high-end smart phones, this camera is going to be used exclusively for video chatting. Of course, video chatting is something that requires the connectivity options of the highest order, which is exactly available in the HTC Radar. The HSDPA option in the HTC Radar is of a special importance because it can support up to 14.4 Mb per second in terms of download speeds, while the upload speed supported by this phone is not too far behind. Hence, content will be loading extremely quickly, while sharing data using the web is also extremely simple on the HTC Radar, which is going to go on sale in the UK shortly. Besides that you may also wish to take a look at HTC Desire S for other available deals.
