The New Samsung Galaxy R And Galaxy Xcover-an Introduction
Over the past two years Samsung have found great success with their impressive Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 handsets. The manufacturers are now looking to capitalise upon the handsets popularity by introducing more models to their Galaxy range of phones. This autumn sees the release of two new additions to the line up, the incredibly durable Galaxy Xcover and the feature packed Galaxy R.
Over the years there has always been a place in the market for tough handsets designed to withstand heavier than normal use. These phones have been favoured by manual workers but older models tended to compromise on features in favour for a more robust design. The new Samsung Galaxy Xcover looks to reinvent the tough phone image by offering one of the most durable phones available yet one that is still packed full of features. The phone boasts a 3.65 inch display which is made from toughened glass which has great scratch resistant properties. The whole body of the phone is completely sealed which not only allows the device to be dust and dirt proof but also enables the phone to operate in up to 1 metre of water as long as it is not submerged ...
... for more than 30 seconds. Camera features have not been neglected on this model and still photographs can be snapped in a resolution of 3.2 million pixels. An added bonus to this camera is that it also incorporates an LED flash which not only makes night time snaps look superb but also doubles up as a flash light, further enhancing the phones appeal as a manual workers tool as well as a mobile phone.
It would be hard to better the Samsung Galaxy S2 for specification so the developers have taken a different approach with the Samsung Galaxy R by scaling down some features to make this model very competitively priced. The Galaxy R is set to be a hit with consumers thanks to a great blend of style and functionality. The model features a large 4.2 inch display which uses a new form of LCD technology called SC-LCD. This is the closest quality to the Super AMOLED screen that is used in the Galaxy S2 and offers a great 480 x 800 resolution coupled with 16 million colours. The model offer a host of connectivity options which range from 3G and EDGE for use whilst you are on the move to WiFi which gives you the ultimate speeds when connected to a network. Browsing the web is a joy on this model not only thanks to the excellent connectivity but also the powerful 800Mhz processor that the device uses.
Samsung have certainly strengthened their line up with these two models and nobody can be in any doubt that the Galaxy range is currently the most impressive of any smartphone manufacturer.
The Samsung Galaxy R and the Galaxy Xcover are coming soon and the White Samsung Galaxy S2 is available now.
