The recent launch of both the HTC Sensation and the Samsung Galaxy S2 has put the Apple iPhone 4 at a major disadvantage, as both the aforementioned phones come with the latest possible technology in a mobile phone. Not only does this part sharing help in increase the productivity in other departments, but also reduces the cost.

There are so many suggestions that the iPhone 5 would not be positioned as the most premium phone on sale today. The attractive pricing of the Samsung Galaxy S2 is again the reason for Apple to concentrate on a wider market. The usage of an eight-megapixel camera will demonstrate the commitment by Apple to provide better image quality. Even though the five-megapixel camera in the current iPhone 4 may be good, it is not certainly good for competing against the Nokia N8 and the Samsung Galaxy S2. Both these phones feature top of the range cameras, which makes it a prerequisite in the upcoming iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 could be launched as early as in the first week of September, unlike certain reports that suggested it is unlikely to come this year.
