According to the initial rumours, the HTC Sensation was believed to be the replacement model for the HTC Desire HD. However, following the official launch of the phone, it promises to be much more than that since it encompasses some of the greatest features ever seen on a HTC phone. The main feature that you will be astonished about in the HTC Sensation has to be the looks, which are strangely similar to the Desire HD. However, once you get beyond the looks, you will be able to appreciate the amount of options present in this new phone.

The major feature behind the HTC Sensation has to be the 4.3 inch display unit, which as you might recall, is of the same size as the screen in the HTC Desire HD. However, the HTC Sensation has the major advantage in the fact that it will be able to display images at a very high resolution of 960 by 540 pixels whereas the Desire HD can support only 480 by 800 pixels resolution. It is not known whether HTC introduced this processor in the phone by chance or with the intention of solely beating the Samsung phone. The usage of the Android 2.3 operating system is not going to make any significant changes to the performance of the phone. In fact, the 2.3 version has been changed in order to provide the phone with better performance than before. Hence, it is going to require less processing power than usual. This aspect of the phone itself is going to make the HTC Sensation very good indeed.

Even though it comes with the same eight megapixel camera used in the HTC Desire HD, it will feature additional weapons in order to take on the competition. It will now primarily feature the options of full HD 1080 p video recording with stereo sound and will also have the image stabilization option. This is a massive improvement from the camera of the Desire HD that features only the auto focus and LED flash options. It is expected to make the difference in terms of the quality of the images and videos recording using this camera. The HTC Sensation will be offering a slightly improved 1520 mAh battery and it is expected to offer another two days of battery life. This slight increase the battery life has been met with a corresponding increase in the entertainment options. This is going to be available in the UK from 8th of June.
