Nearly a year after the unprecedented attention that the release of the iPhone 4 received, the white colour variation of this model that we have been waiting for for so long is finally with us. So what has been the delay with this model and more importantly how are you going to be amongst the first people to get your hands on one of these eagerly awaited phones.

Nine months down the line and you can now purchase the iPhone 4 in a white finish, so what has caused the huge 270 day delay to bring this phone to the UK public. Although there has been no official comment on this, there are two commonly known reasons behind the belated release. Firstly there was an issue with one of the components of the phone which was the glass, and given that the iPhone 4 is largely made of this material it turned into quite a major issue. The exact problem was believed to be striking the perfect balance between the thickness of the paint and how opaque the glass would appear. This issue was quickly ironed out but it did however have a knock on effect on another area of the phone which was the camera facility. This newly finished glass ...
... seemed to leak light, especially when a photograph was taken using the flash facility. So there you have it, two major hiccups and nine months and finally launch day is with us. Although one may be wary about the problems this phone has already encountered, what is pleasing is that Apple are not willing to release a sub standard product into the marketplace. So with these issues solved prior to the release we should be left with a stylish looking phone which works like a dream.
