The improvements in the features of the new phone occur in the processor and the battery department. It will now be coming with a processor that is rated at 1.4 GHz instead of the 1 GHz that was seen in the previous version. Apart from increasing the processing speed, Samsung has also increased the battery rating of the phone from 1500 mAh to 1650 mAh. It is something that is expected to significantly improve the battery life of the phone, which is very important for a mobile phone in this segment. The increased battery life will be used for taking pictures on the five megapixel autofocus camera present in the phone. Some of the important features present in this camera include the 720 p HD video recording, face detection and so on. Apart from this camera, there is also a secondary VGA unit that is going to be more specifically catering towards the need for making video calls from the phone.
Video calls can be made in due to the presence of a vast number of connectivity options, which do not seem to have changed a lot from the previous version. The presence of the Bluetooth and the micro-USB options are limited by the usage of options like the 3G, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Hotspot. The overall dimensions of the phone are kept at a bare minimum and this makes the Samsung Galaxy S Plus extremely good to handle. The Samsung Galaxy S Plus was announced by Samsung only recently and it is going to be available in the UK markets from May onwards, with pricing expected to be very competitive and also very close to the current phone.
