It seems that Samsung does not seem to be entirely satisfied with the extreme success of the Samsung Galaxy S. This is because the company are preparing to launch a new phone in the Samsung Galaxy series, but interestingly it is not going to be a competitor for the Samsung Galaxy S. Instead, it is going to be a smaller downsized version of this incredibly popular phone and it will offer customers a suitable alternative if they feel that the Samsung Galaxy S is out of their reach. The phone is also one of the pleasant looking phones available today.

It is mainly due to the silver garnish that Samsung has provided in some areas. There are extremely minimalistic buttons in the front and the use of a 3.14 inch touch screen display has meant that the phone is extremely good-looking. The touch screen display used in the phone is a capacitive touch screen and it is capable of supporting multiple touches. The resolution, though, seems to be a little look at 240 x 320 pixels. However, it is not something that will be troubling you too much because the screen size is fairly small and within it, it would not look too bad. The internal ...
... memory of the phone is a pleasant 160 MB. Even though it might not be the largest internal memory ever on a phone, it is certainly sufficient for most applications to be installed in the phone memory. Also, this leaves you with plenty of space for storing a number of text messages and contacts.

Samsung, though, seems to have not been happy with the memory of the phone and it has provided a 2 GB complimentary memory card along with the phone. This is because the phone can support memory cards. The maximum supported memory using this way is 32 GB. The camera in the Samsung Galaxy Mini is very similar in figures with the touch screen display. It is a 3.15 megapixel unit and it has features like Geotagging and QVGA recording to take advantage of the megapixel count. The video recording is done at 10 frames per second. One can use the micro-USB or Bluetooth connectivity option to transfer the files that have been recorded using the camera. Other connectivity features that are present in the Samsung Galaxy Mini include Wi-Fi and 3G. The 3G option in the phone might not be the fastest almost any phone, but it can certainly support download speeds of up to 7 Mb per second.

The processor in the phone is a 600 MHz unit and it can run the Android 2.2 operating system without a lot of difficulties. The phone features DNSe sound enhancement to take advantage of the fantastic loudspeakers that Samsung has provided this phone with. For now, it is expected to be available only in the black colour. Like most phones in the segment, this phone also comes with GPS and FM radio as its other features. The Samsung Galaxy Mini is one phone that is heading for the UK shores.
