Delhi’s Batting Woes
DC’s decision to bat first didn’t quite pay off. While they got a few decent starts, they never really managed to build a big innings. KL Rahul top-scored with 41 off 39 balls, but his knock was more about staying in rather than scoring quickly. Tristan Stubbs added a little spark with a quick 34 off 18 balls, but overall, DC’s total never seemed intimidating.

RCB’s bowlers were spot on, especially Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was outstanding, taking 3 wickets for just 22 runs. His performance kept DC from gaining any real momentum, leaving them to finish at 162/8, which was far from the big total they had hoped for.

RCB’s Rocky Start, Then a Brilliant Recovery
RCB’s chase didn’t start as smoothly as they would have liked. Early wickets fell quickly, and they were in trouble at 26/3, putting the pressure squarely on their middle order.

But in came Virat Kohli and Krunal Pandya, who took charge and turned the game around. Kohli, as always, was composed and calculated, scoring a solid 51 off 47 balls. But it was Krunal Pandya who really stole the show. He played a ...
... brilliant knock of 73 runs off 47 balls, which was key to RCB staying in the hunt and eventually winning.

Despite the early collapse, Kohli and Pandya kept their cool, with Krunal especially playing an aggressive and controlled innings. When the finish line was in sight, Tim David played his part too, smashing a boundary off the first ball of the 18th over to seal the win. RCB wrapped up the chase in 18.3 overs, finishing with 165/4 and completing the task with 9 balls to spare.

RCB Move to the Top of the Table
This win pushed RCB to the top of the IPL 2025 points table, where they now sit with 14 points from 10 matches. For DC, despite a few individual efforts, this loss keeps them in fourth place with 12 points from 9 matches. The match highlighted RCB's ability to fight back after tough situations, a trait that could make them serious contenders for the title this season.

Looking Ahead
For RCB, this win was a testament to their depth and resilience. Despite the early collapse, they showed that experience and teamwork can turn a match around. For DC, it’s back to the drawing board. They’ve shown glimpses of brilliance, but consistency is key if they want to stay in the playoff race.
