XIO – Intelligent Farming, a pioneering venture under Sealing System A/S, is revolutionizing insect protein production with cutting-edge logistics systems. Led by Sealing System A/S CEO Ole Jensen, XIO is redefining industry standards and driving innovation in intralogistics for insect farming. Through meticulously designed solutions, XIO facilitates the seamless scaling up of insect protein production, from individual farms to large-scale industrial facilities. By leveraging advanced technology and data tracking, XIO optimizes intralogistics processes, ensuring efficiency and productivity in handling large volumes of larvae. The use of Black Soldier Fly and Larvae (BSF & BSFL) further underscores the rapid growth and immense potential of insect protein production. The ENORM Biofactory, a flagship project developed by Sealing System and XIO, epitomizes this advancement, boasting a production capacity of over 10,000 tonnes of insect meal annually. This facility demonstrates the incredible efficiency of insect protein production, with 25 kg of eggs yielding a remarkable 100 tonnes of larvae in just 12 days. Notably, this process boasts low energy, space, and water consumption per gram of protein, further highlighting the sustainability and viability of insect farming as a protein source.
