The Aloe Vera plant has long been known for its healing effects. Treating cuts, burns, stings, welts and other skin disorders with the plant has been a home remedy for centuries. The plant has incredible healing abilities. And while most people are aware of the many uses for this miracle plant externally, that is in topical application, few are aware of the many benefits that can result from internal consumption.

Aloe Vera taken internally in the form of a juice has been shown to aid in the healing of a variety of stomach and intestinal disorders including ulcers, constipation, hemorrhoids, rectal itching, colitis, and other colon problems. Likewise it can be helpful against infections, skin cancer and arthritis. Recently it has also been used as part of the treatment of individuals living with AIDS.

Aloe Vera is also one of the only known natural vegetarian sources of Vitamin B12. This plant also contains a variety of other essential mineral. The combination of these nutrients has been shown to help with the growth process and with the overall health and well being of the body. This plant's healing properties ...
... also extend to helping with the body's own natural defenses. Aloe Vera can help boost the body's own immune function.

Most importantly though, for people suffering from colon disorders, drinking Aloe Vera juice can greatly reduce symptoms of constipation, stomach pain and cramping. The plant's juice helps to sooth the digestive tract and can therefore help reduce the pain and irritation associated with ailments such as colitis, ulcers and even irritable bowel syndrome.

The way this works involves the plants encouragement of the release of pepsin, one of the enzymes needed for healthy digestion. By helping to encourage the release of this enzyme, Aloe helps to aid with the digestive process. For those with impaired digestion therefore, this plant will greatly help.

In a study of patients who were asthmatic, the effects of internal consumption of Aloe Vera juice were also touted as extremely beneficial. Those taking Aloe Vera internally for six months helped to mitigate the symptoms of the ailment. Aloe Vera's effects on immune function as well as its naturally occurring anti-inflammatory nutrients, have been offered as the explanations for its success in this clinical study.

For many, the internal use of Aloe Vera can be beneficial even if we are not suffering from a specific disorder. Aloe Vera juice is rich in protein, calcium, magnesium, zinc, vitamins A, B12 and E. It is also a good source of Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs). As a cleansing tonic, Aloe Vera may also be used to help rid the body of toxins and other harmful materials. The plant's natural healing properties will extend themselves to the inside of the body. Taken internally, Aloe Vera juice can help cleanse putrefying or harmful material from the stomach, liver, kidneys, spleen, and bladder. For the best colon results, the plant's juice can also be used in enema form.

Whatever way it is taken, Aloe Vera has a healing effect. When seeking out a juice form, make sure to look for high quality pure Aloe Vera juice.
