Magic of award winning London show, Les Miserable’s is simply inescapable. Popularly known as ‘Les Mis, the show is the world’s longest running musical and still one of the hottest tickets in London’s West End. In the year 1985, the show made its grand debut after attaining lukewarm reviews and went on to transfer from the Barbican to the Palace Theatre.
The blockbuster show, Les Mis, finally settled at the Queen’s Theatre. The show is adapted from the popular Victor Hugo’s epic French novel. The story of Les Mis is set against the revolutionary France. It follows the plight of convict Jean Valjean and his struggles to escape the law and right his wrongs.
The hugely applauded show is a colourful mix of characters which are drawn from the breadth of society. The mesmerizing score by Alain Boublil with lyrics by Claude Michel Schonberg simply steals heart. Some of the classics of songs such as ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, ‘On My Own’ and ‘Bring Him Home’ are performed by artists from all across the globe.
