"squatting Service": Convenience Or Redundancy

The No.4 Line subway is going to be started in test operation on 28th September. On the morning of 31st August, the deputy-mayor Mr. Chen Gang and 200 removal citizens living along the No. 4 Line have become the first passengers in test operation. During the whole journey, the attendants will answer the passengers' questions whether from the mayor or the citizens, squatting there with heads up. It is said that this is one of the service norms to show respect to the passengers and ensure their security.
It is not the first case of the "squatting service" in No.4 Line. During the Paralympics, the staff working in the Paralympics Village adopted this service for the players so as to communicate with them based on the same level, which shows respect to the hearer and has gained its reputation. However, since there is always a flow of people in the subway, whether "squatting service" will be appropriate and varied out effectively has aroused great controversy.
Subway is a public means of transport which generally accommodates a lot of people. No wonder how they carry out it during rush hours. Is it possible that to ...
... put seat limit into practice in order to ensure there are enough space to squat?
According to the condition of the subway, some passengers are standing and some are sitting down. Sometime the traffic will be in jam or free in different Time Period. As one of standard service "squatting service" can be possibly implemented and lasted? I have taken the MRT for many years; I have never seen any service worker appeared in the train. "Sans base, pas de superstructure?" and one more word said that "It shows the respect to passengers and ensure safety of them" is really funny. "respect" perhaps can be accepted, but safe or not, it's nothing to do with "squatting service". You can say the subway was in low safety without "squatting service" before?? In my opinion, Standing or bowing is far safe than squatting.
Beijing Government implemented the "squatting service", the most worth people to respected was all the staff service to the wheel chair guests with "squatting service". It was really kindness and love. For the subway, in fact there will be no need service in such short trip. Only if service with naturally smile, politely attitude will be enough for all passengers if there is service needed.
Therefore, we are willing to take subway because it's convenient rather than there's a good "squatting service". There are many ways to show respire to passengers, for example, make the environment cleaner, strengthen the security supervision and so on, which are more important than "squatting service".
