Radiance Sports founded by Varun Manian in Chennai is one such spectacle, built out of his sheer love and passion for sports.

The company aims to develop the skills of young sporting talent and owns two clubs which are the PTRC in the cricket league and Chennai FC in the Super Division and Football League. As evident, Mr. Varun Manian’s enthusiasm not just extends to cricket but to other lesser developed sports like football and chess as well. According to him, football is an underrated sport in the country, but the number of talented individuals is no less. He goes on to say that most of the youngsters in the city stay up late in the night to watch international football matches. Hence, with the right support and resources, football leagues in the country can be developed to grab the attention of these football enthusiasts and carve their own niche in the country.

He asserts that lack of awareness and quality players are to be blamed for this prejudice shown by football fans. It is with this motive to promote football in the country that Varun Manian went on ...
... to acquire the football team, Chennai FC. His aim is to provide quality coaching and nutrition to the players so he can see them play in ISL and international matches in the future.
With the necessary support from Radiance Sports, several matches have witnessed national level players and players from Chennai FC are proving to be excellent players with a promising future.

When it comes to chess, there are several players in the country who possess the zeal and skills to participate in tournaments held globally. But many of them don’t have the necessary funds to fuel their dreams. Meet 10 year old R. Praggnanandha, who is one such promising chess player in the country, but whose father lacked the necessary funds to keep his dreams alive. With help from Mr. Varun Manian and his venture Radiance Sports, R. Praggnanandha is now the world’s youngest international chess master and holds a record that beats world champion Viswanathan Anand. However, this wouldn’t have been a reality if Varun Manian hadn’t stepped up and given him the needed encouragement to go forth and achieve his dreams.

To conclude, Varun Manian hopes to see some improvement in the Indian scenario and also that football makes it to the Olympics in the future. He also wishes to bring back those glorious days when Indian hockey dominated world hockey and made us proud. As regards Praggnanandha, he is well on his way to participate in international chess tournaments and has a fair chance to become the youngest grandmaster in the world.
