SFA is a platform for school children to participate and compete in multiple sports. The education that is imparted in our schools and colleges is mainly intellectual. It is true that every school and college has a playground and offers facilities for sports. But participation in games is not compulsory and little account is taken of it while awarding certificates and degrees. Our educationists should realise the organic connection between mind and body, and pay more attention and importance to the physical training of the young. The inter school sports competition will be held in the month of December 2015 from 24th to 31st.
SFA ensures that the school children get adequate exposure to multiple sports like squash, judo, badminton, basketball, etc. even if he/she is not participating in the sports competitions since most of the schools in Mumbai don’t have facilities for every sporting event. SFA has given them a platform to showcase their sporting abilities in front of 500 schools, thus making it the worlds’ biggest inter school sports competition. SFA is a platform for 500 schools to show their talents in one of ...
... the biggest multi-sports arena which is the D. Y. Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.
SFA’s mission is to revolutionize the landscape of school sports in Mumbai & eventually India by providing a robust, sustainable ecosystem for school children to participate, compete & grow in the field of sport. Sports for schools are a necessity today, as it is important for children to gain mental and physical stability. The inter school champion ship helps the students to learn the value of participation and sportsmanship. Sports for schools will gain a lot of information as well get exposed to various sporting events in this annual inter school sports competition.
The vision of SFA is to be the most respected & reputed sporting system for school children in India and to build an inter-school sporting system that India can be proud of. The sports competitions held for schools in this country today are on a very small scale and are conducted within a few selected schools. This limits the child’s capability to perform well in sports. SFA along with the various sports partners for its 9 sporting events will help diversify Indian sports which mainstream cricket and football. The idea of inter school sports competition helps the school students to gain confidence to perform on a bigger platform in front of not just other schools but even some of the biggest sporting legends who will be gracing the ceremony.
SFA creates an environment that enables children to perform their best by motivating, nurturing and supporting them in taking their sporting prowess to the next level. It is their belief that by providing the children with the right guidance, facilities and platform, SFA will not only facilitate the next generation of talented young professionals but also make children love sports in a whole new light. Sports for schools for the inter school champion ship will be in the best sports stadium with multiple-sporting arena that is D. Y. Patil Stadium.

The sports competitions will be conducted under the aegis of various sporting agencies of Mumbai which will enable the students to get various opportunities to showcase their sporting talent on a larger platform.
The inter school champion ship will help the students to get more inclined to trying different sports and check their sporting abilities in those sports. SFA will also have educational workshops that will be conducted by sports coaches/referees and even sports personalities which can be attended by parents, sports teachers and students. This will help them in the future to gain perspective when participating in other sports competitions.
Sports for schools are a necessity now with the level of competition not just in education but even in sports. Students are always neck deep in books and studies, but sports ensure that they have some recreational activities and get adequate exercise. SFA has 9 sporting events which include basketball, badminton, handball, judo, swimming, table tennis, etc. which will be conducted under the aegis of different sports associations for the inter school champion ship.
