Public data about individuals arrested and booked into the County of Marin jail can be obtained from the Marin County Sheriff’s Office Records Division. The Records Division is under the Documentary Services Division of the Marine County Sheriff’s Office. Here, you can find, not only Marin County Booking Log, but all other legal information as well. Personnel in this department process requests for incident reports and out-of-custody inmate inquiries for authorized government agencies. The unit releases these documents as allowed by law. The Marin County Sheriff's Office also provides both Live Scan and ink fingerprinting. After careful evaluation, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) then transmits the results of the scans to the requesting company within 3 to 14 days. This service calls for an appointment. Requesting agencies must check with the Sheriff’s Office for the needed request forms and for other special instructions or requirements.
