(Yogic exercises for facial muscles)

There are 22 sets of muscles in the face with identical left and right symmetry. Now, with the age, effects of environment, your mental state(Frowning, Smiling, Laughing, Crying). Facial muscles react and change giving fine lines, wrinkles, double chin, puffy eyes etc.

Here are step by step exercises for all the areas of face:-

1.) Jaw line -- Look at the ceiling, put both hands on the lower jaw, feel the stretch of neck muscles. Now try and touch the upper lip with the tip of your tongue. Hold for 30 seconds. Repeat 10 sets.
2.) Double chin reduction – Keep neck erect. Smile from one end to other with both hands massage double chin area from inside out for say 60 strokes.
3.) Fine line around mouth – Puff cheeks by inhaling through mouth. Hold for 30 seconds. Exhale through nose gradually. Repeat 10 sets.
4.) Forehead – Surprised expressions with wide open eyes and mouth. Hold for some time.
5.) Eyebrows – Flea your eyebrows as if you are frowning with your finger tips, hold outer edge of eyebrows and stretch ...
... up and out. Repeat 10 sets.
6.) Cheeks – Suck in cheeks, Lift jaw. Use fingers to smoothen cheeks and jaw muscles.

Remember:-
a.) Chewing gums is a good facial muscle exercise.
b.) Always drink lot of fluid (water) to hydrate your body.
c.) Crying is equally important as laughing. As laughing exercises facial muscles in one direction and crying reverses that. Thus a complete exercise pattern is made.
d.) Laugh your heart out as it is the best stress buster.
e.) Cry your emotions out as it is the best soother.
