Business is all about advertisement, publicity and marketing. The returns are either in kind or in cash. Earlier there were limited options of business planning. That time business was just a building having an office like structure relying only on marketing which is simply a door-to-door publicity. Then with the technological development came the printable media, the telemarketing, advertisement on television, radio, trade shows and other social campaigns on marketing. The invent of internet and web market created a new avenue for the marketing and business area. Email and the search engines added many new options to this promotion based services.


Then the social media added new dimensions in the ways of advertisement, publicity and campaigning. The social media became the most important, time spending and easy way of reaching either family or friends or the easiest platform for the maximum targeted customers online. The popularity of these media sites has the most important advantage of the public interaction and presence of visitors throughout the day. Counting this advantage as the key to the way of success, the business minds involved the social media sites as one of the common and important platform for the business. Whether the kind of business is small or large, individual or in partnership; the social media platform adds a feather to the promotional business. The business giant as well as the small entrepreneurs before starting to use the social networking sites as one and the most important marketing tool should plan well enough and follow some marketing strategies.

So what will be the strategies for succeeding?


The strategies that must be followed by the marketers are:


1. There must be some goals which are to be achieved.


2. The goals must be clear and specific i.e. who should be involved, what is the time limit for achieving the goal, what is the venue and the goal.
3. Goals must be countable, attainable, and relevant and consistent.


4. The goals must be achieved within a pre assigned time period or there must be deadline for achieving the goal.

The marketing plan should also involve targeting the valued customers who will act as the potential customers. For all the aspects of a successful marketing, the most important is the market survey. In the market surveying the important part played by the social media sites cannot be denied. The choices, the needs or the desires of most of the users can be estimated by a survey in the social media sites. Getting an idea about the requirements and choices of your customers can help you a lot in arranging your products or services fulfilling the customer demands.
