Traditional wooden cream and white kitchens are a common color choice for most individuals. This color theme has been quiet prominent since the early ages, right from the time kitchen designs were planned. Not many changes have taken place in this traditional color scheme, however in this article, we give you steps to change a traditional wooden cream and white kitchen into a modern one.

Complementary colors:

The wooden cream and white kitchens incorporate a more traditional theme for any type of kitchen. While this maybe a safe color theme for any kitchen design, it has been done to the death. The only way to revive this color theme is to use colors that compliment this combination. Colors like grays, beiges and nudes can be used. Experts at Sleek, Houzz and illya wooden cream and white kitchens, suggest refraining from colors like tones of browns, whites and blacks. Other options for color themes are shades or reds, blues and other contemporary colors. if you don’t want to change the theme color, but yet want to incorporate more color, you can use items like vases, kitchen implements like kettles, bowls, culinary ...
... blocks in different bold colors.

Worktop:

Most worktops in the wooden cream and white kitchens use a solid wood worktop which does not need much maintenance, therefore making it last long. Although these solid surfaces have grown in popularity for some time, table tops like granite and quartz hold dominance amongst all others. Other niche table tops include butcher block and marble but are quiet expensive and takes more effort to maintain. Experts at Sleek, Houzz and illya wooden cream and white kitchens, suggest using these table tops as wooden table tops may not require much maintenance but still require a yearly sanding and scrubbing to remove the occasional dents and scratches. This is the only drawback of wooden countertop. Also, hot items cannot be placed on such counter tops as they tend to leave marks.

Modern amenities:

Traditional wooden cream and white kitchens have incorporated a lot of cabinets and draws in their units. However, at times, these units can take up more space than needed, where it can be used for other purposes. Modern amenities can be introduced in place of such items. Modern amenities like the dishwasher and the stove tops with an additional chimney prove to a benefit to the modern life. You can place these modern appliances neatly in place of the spacious drawers within an arm’s reach as suggested by experts at Sleek, Houzz and illya wooden cream and white kitchens. These modern appliances are large and can be placed neatly in the spacious cupboard and drawers if it planned properly.
