He uses warp method, to thread it on the loom. In weft, he moves the shuttle which contains weft back and forth through the threads of the warp.

Weaver uses two different coloured yarns to make it as a light weighted and gleam fabric. He uses a method Surin, known for the unusual weaving and processing which creates a shimmering effect.

According to the requirement, He creates a fading effect using two-tone or yarn-dye. In this process, the fabric will be dyed when it is in yarn or knitting machine.

Shimmer can also be made with a crushed finish to bring out the shine in the fabric. As it is being extremely light weight, is warm in winter and cool in summer.

Majority of shimmers are hand-woven, 4-ply, natural and unprocessed silk fabrics. Motifs like zari, floral works, stones, animals, birds, fruits and other geometrical shapes are designed.
