Information Review Of Cricket
A bat and ball game played between 11 players of each team, in an oval ground having a rectangular pitch, is called cricket. The pitch is surface upon which game is actually played. The oval structured ground is highlighted by the boundary of rope, fence or painted line, from the edge. The pitch is grass free rectangular structure at the centre of ground. At each opposite edge of pitch, there is a wooden target called wicket, which should be at least 22 yards apart. The wicket is three vertical stumps with two horizontal bails. If any of stump is dislodged or any of the bail is knocked down, either by striking a ball or by batsman himself then the batsman is announced out. Bowling crease and batting crease are two highlighted boundaries 4 feet away from wicket on the pitch.
At the beginning the teams decide who will be doing batting or balling at first. This is decided by tossing a coin between team captains. The winning team of toss decides if to bat or ball. Each team takes its turn after tossing process is completed. Each turn is called innings. A team can play more than one inning depending upon the length of duration ...
... of particular match.
When the game starts, each team takes its turn for batting while the other team fields. All the team members who choose to bowling or fielding remains in the ground, one player is assigned to do balling and the others takes their positions for fielding. While only two players of batting team are allowed to stay at ground as per game rules. The bowler delivers a ball from the opposite edge of the wicket, by running towards the batsman without crossing the bowling crease. The batman has to hit the ball with the bat. The batman who hits the ball attempts to run towards the other end of pitch while the fielder who is in ground, away from the pitch, has to pick the ball immediately. He throws the ball towards the wicket or nearby player of his team with the purpose to strike the wicket. If the fielder or fielding team successfully strikes the wicket with the ball, before the batsman reaches popping crease, the batsman is announced to be out. On the other hand if the batman gets succeeded in reaching the other edge without the wicket being struck, he gains a run which is mentioned onCricket Live Scores board like being displayed on big bash league cricket livescore famous these days.
Each batsman continues to do his batting until he is announced out. This announcement or decisions during cricket game are taken by third party called umpire group. Two umpires regulates the game on the field. One of them stands behind the wicket at bowler’s edge and the other has to stand 15 to 20 meters to the side of the on-strike batsman. Their responsibility is to check if the ball is correctly bowled, how many runs are scored properly and whether a batsman is out or not.
The batting team continues batting until 10 players are out. In the bowling or fielding team, all the players fields until first inning is over. A bowler can ball 6 countable balls called an over. When an over is completed the other player from the field comes to take an over. The batting and bowling sequence of the match is decided by captain, prior to the match or may be during the match, whichever is suitable for them.
