Saree is one of the world’s most prominent garment and is all time-wear for women. The indecency and attractiveness are main reasons for its popularity.
Indian handloom fabrics have been popular since the time immemorial. For world-wide connoisseurs in Fashion world, Handloom Cotton became sensuous and glamorous attire.
Cotton is soft, light, airy and very comfortable outfit especially during the summer season. Handloom cottons are woven on hand operated looms flawlessly by the weavers. They became style statements to the fashion world.
Cotton and the art of weaving it into fabric came to India from the Mesopotamian civilisation. Later, the weavers meticulously wove Madder-dyed fabrics, shuttles and they became popular with their unique designs, compatibility and affinity.
To gain the hearts of women, Cotton sarees are intricately woven by hand interspersed with the delicacy. The weaving process of Cotton is really a painstaking process to the weavers. They need to exhibit dedication ...
... towards weaving.
The weaver makes fine yarn into a Cotton cloth through weaving or knitting. Weaving process is carried out on loom; it is a device which makes thread into cloth by weaving ropes together at right angles.
In this process, the weavers can use two different methods named warp and weft. If the threads run lengthways from back to the front then it is ‘warp’ and if the threads run widthways using a shuttle, then it is ‘weft’.
For weaving the cotton cloth, warp always runs from back to front and weft always runs from side to side. Later an extra range of complexity is added to get complex patterns. By continuous making of warp and weft, the pure cotton cloth will be created.
The Handloom Cotton is interspersed with the delicacy of the extra weft motifs. Different patterns like coins, flowers, leaves, fruits, animals, stones and geometrics are designed on the sarees.
Cotton Handlooms offer good canvas for patterns, designs and motifs. The handloom cottons of Orissa, Maheshwari, Rojkot, Assam, Gadwal, Pochampalli, Kanchipuram, Mangalagiri, Rasipuram, Kerala, Chettinad, Kerala and other are designed deliciously by the weavers.
These Handcrafted Cottons are available all over the world with affordable prizes. The cost range depends on the quality, design and motifs. Cotton saree with best quality may starts from 1000/- and ranges up on to the dependent designs.
Handloom Cotton saris with artistic floral designs will mesmerize the viewers and are apt for weddings, festivals and grand occasions. The pure Cotton saris of light weight and smooth pattern are best suitable during summer seasons. Cotton saris with embroidery and stones are suitable for night parties and dinners.
Till Today, by god grace and a mixer of skills and talent of the weavers of Cotton, it stands the best in market.
